Thank you for visiting the EKU Regional Campuses & Sites Criminal Justice Internship page! The Internship program offers many benefits for students. Students that participate in the internship program are able to use coordinating courses to complete needed hours for their degree while gaining excellent industry knowledge. Furthermore, students participating in an internship are more like to be hired in their chosen career field more quickly after their college graduation. 

By successfully completing an internship within our program, students position themselves for greater accomplishments in their chosen field by making critical professional contacts and networking with experts in the area of employment they with to attain. The internships offered through our program can provide a great opportunity for students to increase their marketability and increase self-confidence within the workplace. According to the National Association of Colleges and Employers, "a staggering 95 percent of employers said candidate experience is a factor in hiring decisions" (Hansen, 2016). Furthermore, nearly half of surveyed employers wanted new-grad experience to come from internships or co-op programs.

The EKU Regional Campuses & Sites Criminal Justice program has partnered with many area law enforcement agencies, correctional facilities, and other field-related occupations to provide students the opportunity to gain experience and demonstrating their knowledge while earning college credit!
