Eastern Kentucky University Criminal Justice in conjunction with Alpha Phi Sigma - Theta Xi and Lambda Alpha Epsilon- Toy/Blanket Drive:
Eastern Kentucky University Criminal Justice in conjunction with Alpha Phi Sigma - Theta Xi and Lambda Alpha Epsilon - Theta Gamma Epsilon hosted a small toy and blanket drive to benefit Shriners Hospital and UK Children’s Hospital in honor of Miss Madyson Lawson. Madyson is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Lawson, who are professors for the University. The collection will be delivered, by Madyson in April.
The student body worked together collecting items, sorting and placing them in boxes to be delivered. The drive was successful, and our hope is that the children who receive the items, can feel the same joy, compassion, and peace, during their sickness, that we felt as we completed the drive. “Superhero’s are the children who are fighting the battle of sickness.” The children who will receive our donations are our heroes.
